Today at 1:30 in the afternoon our Lord directed George's path home.
He was pain free, peaceful, and surrounded by Hanna, Matthew and myself.
The past few days the Lord has been preparing him, and I know he was touched by the love from all of you.
As soon as we have details regarding the service it will be posted.

ReplyDeleteMemories keep those we love close to us forever Although words seem to say so little, I hope they help in some small way to ease the sense of loss that you're experiencing today. Hold fast to your memories, to all of the cherished moments of the past, to the blessings and the laughter, the sorrow and the tears. They all add up to a treasure of fond yesterdays that you shared and spent together, and they keep the one you loved close to you in spirit and thought. Thinking of you and your beautiful family. George was a very sweet and special man. I have no other words at this time of sadness.

Donna;
ReplyDeleteJust now read about George's homegoing. I am stunned and deeply saddened. I had been confident throughout his suffering that he would win the cancer battle. But now he is healed in the most perfect way possible. While he is now enjoying perfect peace, eternal bliss while he offers perfect praise with the Lord of whose relationship he enjoyed on earth, I know what a void he leaves for you. I am grateful to God that we were able to converse recently for the first time in years. He was a cherished friend, better than I deserved. Praying for you and your family for peace and comfort found in Christ alone. Paul Lawson
Donna; I take great comfort that you were brought into George's life to be his wife and bear his children. He had some very difficult years during the times we hung out together. But you came into his life and brought him great joy which increased with the arrival of your children. George was a great friend in such away whereas I could hardly believe God would bless someone like me. I so regret the years we lost, and the recent times I have been busy; so sorry I missed your last 2 weeks of blog entries. Just knowing God is a big God Who has granted George perfect eternal rest and peace in his heavenly home brings comfort, knowing that we will one day experience perfect heavnly fellowship
